Exhaust clamps

Post by christianb7 » Tue Jul 03, 2018 2:43 pm

Hi all,

I noticed yesterday that my rear exhaust clamps holding pipes just before back boxes are heavily corroded (rusted). Google suggests that it is a common problem. Is that the case?

I also saw here viewtopic.php?f=76&t=112149&p=701402&hi ... mp#p701402 the part numbers. Clamp - 1K0 253 141 N

Does anyone know if it is the same for sports and normal exhaust?

Thanks,
Chris

It is normal. You should see the exhaust clamps on my wife’s Porsche - and they are the second set. Rusty as hell.

Thanks both. Guess I will check if they are still strong and for any blowing and replace if required.

If anyone does find this then the part number is as above. I also found full diagram here https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/etka ... 58/253950/
