RS6 TO RS6 PE ??

Post by skirs6 » Mon Jun 11, 2018 9:08 pm

As above I’m thinking about making the jump. I’ve had my 6 for nearly 18months and just contemplating a PE. Is it worth the expense or just sit tight and see what the C8 comes out like ??

I made the jump from a March 2015 car with DRC to a Dec 17 PE car with air

For me, simple answer is yes!! better spec, even tweaks on the 17 car where you can lock the doors with an additional button next to the boot closure.
Prefer the alcantara seats and door cards
Wheels nicer too

Performance very similar though does have more of an "urge" when pushed hard

I was of the same opinion as you In waiting for the C8, but the reality is it probably won't make an appearance before late 2020 and it will be £120k+ I'd want to wait 12months after that and let someone else blow their balls on depreciation. Plus if I'd kept it until the C8 came out it would have mega mileage and was concerned who would be in the market for a 100k mile C7 RS6 so made the jump

Mine listed to £93k HUD, Advanced park, Pan etc etc. I picked it up as a pre-reg with 100miles on it for a number starting with a 7. Deals to be done.

Is your existing car pre or post facelift? Obviously a lot of changes came at facelift and MY2016 which make the change a better move not just because of the Performance part.

The door lock button on the boot is part of the advanced key option rather than any model update isn't it?

I made the jump 12 months ago from a 14 plate to a new 17 PE... glad I did for many reasons but mainly 40 extra horses and a 5 year warranty. It was almost an identical spec with the addition of ACC, but also many other tweaks too as mentioned above. Some were just because it was a facelift model though so that needs to be considered.

Mine is a pre FL 14 plate. I have to say I think mine looks more aggressive from the front than the PE and the matrix lights. I’m not in any position to buy new it would probably be an early PE 2016.
I’m considering selling mine private as it does benefit with a two year Audi warranty for the new engine turbos catts and this will still have 18 months to run and will transfer to the new owner. It also benefits from four new updated suspension struts fitted under warranty a few weeks ago.

I agree - I think the pre facelift front end looks much more aggressive, although just a little dated now against the revised version.

I’ve been thinking long and hard for the last few days.
On my pre FL
I love the look of the front lights
I love the matte grey paint
I love the 21 wheels
The full leather seats are more practical for my numerous tip runs 👍

The positives for the PE
Newer car
Slightly more power
I like the Alcantara but not sure with all the tip runs
Prefer the matrix lights when working but not the look

Overall conclusion stick with mine 👍👍👍

As in performance 2014 year and 2015 year cars are identical in performance no changes

As for design part looks awful, 2014 and 2015 models looks way sexier

What’s standard on the 17my PE DRC or Air?

Did they all come with 5years warranty or available as an extra?

Air was standard on all C7 RS6. DRC was always an option.

4 or 5 year warranty was an optional extra. 3 years was standard.
