Possible power loss

Post by Afsimba » Wed Jun 06, 2018 9:52 am

Was having some fun the other day on a private road when there was a noticeable little click and the limiter kicked in where it hadn’t before wondering if it’s maybe fried a plug or something ! It’s still fast but doesn’t have the same urgency I would say ! Always fed 99 Tesco super warmed up first ,car done 11k ! car is not de limited to my knowledge

Hope it doesnt come over as cocky ;) but get yourself a obd reader. A zillion sensors and safety on the car, with some luck it triggered something and it is stored as a fault code...
Otherwise it is just guessing and can be anything :).
*a decent reader costs +-60€...i scan my car monthly.

I can recommand obdeleven, sadely only runs on android but is super user friendly and visually nice. Does everything normal user would need + more advanced coding/logging if wanted.

Untill then, only way to kbow what car is failing at is take it to dealer or independant garage and scan the car. Otherwise it is pure guesswork and unnessecairy costs/labor imho.
As advanced and monitored these car are, not everything will throw a code and depends a bot on how stock or not the car is (tune, exhaust for example...).

Good luck :)
