Bedding in new front discs

Hello all,

New front discs fitted & pads fitted by independent after experiencing that shitty brake warping issue.
Ive read about 5 different versions of how to bed the pads in. What is the correct way to do this.
Is there any validity in the rumour that if you sit on the brake pedal after stopping say at the traffic light with hot brakes it leaves a foot print on the disc that results in a build up of materials creating the dreaded judder ?
Avant Black Edition BITDI STG3 @ 460 Bhp 912NM.

Yes

Also, just do some 70 - 0 braking a few times to he'd the brakes in. I've always done this and had no issues. Just find a good stretch of road to do this on.

I usually go from 60MPH to 15MPH about 5x, let it cool, and then do it from 70MPH to 15MPH, and then 80MPH to 15MPH. Let it cool in between each set. Don't stomp on it so hard that you trigger ABS, but, just before that point.

After that, you should smell your brakes, and then they should be bedded in pretty well. If you want, you can run though this process twice. But, give it enough time in between to cool down. Highway driving without touching the brakes during the cool down period should be okay. Roughly about 3-5 minutes is sufficient.

You want to mate the pads and rotors to get a nice surface/contact between them, but you don't want to overheat them.
