Noob question time, if I have Audi connect and phone box, should it also do wireless charging? And if so how?

Depends on the age of the car.
My MY2016 phone box doesn't do wireless charging but I notice it is listed as part of the phone box on the configurator now so must have been added at MY2017 or MY2018.

What phone do you have? As not all phones do wireless charging. Example is iPhone8 or X= Yes. Older iPhones=No
To charge your phone in the car you lift up your arm rest and place it in the phone box. Ps if your phone is in a phone case then remove it from the case.

Edit. Plus what mike said. And also if you’ve over the last week picked your car up then you might find that your phone box is actually disconnected due to an Ofcom issue. A recall will be done in due course.

Eddie, if you are talking to me me then yes my phone does wireless charging, I have a wireless charger on my desk that works.

I think there’s also a symbol on the plastic pad (denoting wireless charging) in the arm rest where you place your phone

At least that’s what I assume it means!

I thought mine had the symbol but it was the signal boosting symbol.

Thanks all... i’ve Got an iPhone X and the car is a 2015, so maybe it doesn’t have wireless charging?

No, it won’t, that’d be too early.

My box looks like this.

Mine looks like that but without the QI wirelss charging symbol.

Got a 2015 and he spec has wireless charging. I don’t have that symbol on my pad though. Nor does it seem to be charging wirelessly
