Audi connect and phone box - wireless charging?

I wouldn’t take that as gospel. Mine says I have silver inlays but I don’t as I have piano black.

Doodlebug is right. IIRC Audi phone box and smartphone interface was not available until my2016

My car is MY2016 and I have the Audi Connect and Audi Phone Box option. This does not include wireless charging. No option did on this year.

The smartphone interface came on MY2017. Maybe wireless charging started then too, but it was defo still not available on MY2016. I tried it too, just in case.

So what’s the point of the normal phone box? And do I still need the sim plan for the connect system?

Phone box allows your mobile phone to use the cars external aerial for better reception.

Ok got it... so then what does the connect allow me to do other than what’s under the menu?

Does the traffic info come through connect?

Guess what I’m getting at is can I ditch the sim?

Connect gives you Google earth for sat nav maps. Street view of the destination. You can Google search a destination rather than a postcode which means you get directed to the exact spot (most of the time, reliant on Google knowing the exact location). You can send a sat nav destination from your mobile or home pc go the car.

The kids can use the wireless in the car to connect their ipads laptops etc.
