A/C not working

Hi all - OK, so the weather finally warms up.... and I discover the AC doesn't blow cold!

Checked the two fuses and both look OK, and the lights are on on the the dash.

Any ideas before I head for the dealer??

Have you tried switching it on and off? Then put on Auto with max low temp and drive along, after about 5 mins it should start to blow cold. If not, trip to the dealer.

Tried on and off this morning and it didn't seem to make any difference - will try again on the drive home.

Booked in to the dealer for early May. Seems it has never had an AC service even though it's in the schedule. Should be covered by warranty anyway.

Warranty all the way, mine was blowing weak end of summer last year - had a/c service last week and ice cold now.

And put the A/C on strong in the settings, see if that changes something.

Thanks Brab - it was on Medium and I've turned it up to "Intense" - didn't seem to do much at the time but will see when I'm next out for a drive.

I think it needs a proper re-gas - but hey-ho, the weather is turning cooler again anyway so less of a problem for the next few days!!

Cheers

Dave

Turned out to be a failed sensor somewhere - fixed under warranty at a notional cost of £458

Just cross that it wasn't picked up by Audi Wakefield when they had the car for pre-delivery inspection. They also missed faults in both wing mirror systems too - total of warranty work was just over £1300!!

You can’t beat the good old warranty I’ve just had audi replace the fuel pumps on mine.
