Akrapovic/Audi Sport exhaust

Post by 7879driver » Wed Apr 18, 2018 4:11 pm

Has anyone had this exhaust fitted through Audi in order to keep things squeaky clean re warranty?
If so how much are they charging? I’ve only seen the Mr JWW feature but I’m sure he didn’t pay for his.
I know direct from Akrapovic it’s around £5k. Audi Belfast quoted me £9k yesterday. Gulp!

That would be about right as prices have gone up recently and Audi will be top money plus you get Audi Sport on the tips rather than Akrapovic. Retail price is over £8 k now

Yea it’s a lotta money but it’s for the sound not the BHP.

Am I right in assuming that the key reason this proposition isn’t flying off the shelves is price? (Compared to independent Akrapovic aftermarket installs.)

I would have thought having warranty friendly aftermarket exhaust was quite compelling?

All of that said, looking at YouTube comparisons of the sound between stock, Milltek and Akrapovic, I can’t tell a massive difference - I guess they’ll sound different in the flesh...

For the price Audi Belfast are quoting you could get another engine.
