Adding additional switch

Post by Daveperc » Sat Mar 31, 2018 6:28 pm

Hi

Anyone able to tell me if it's possible to add a switch into the blanks below the multimedia unit, and above the heater controls?
And anyone able to tell me what the various blanks are for, so I could select a suitable switch.

TIA, Dave

I looked at this before when I wanted to add a switch to open the garage doors without paying £1000 for the proper retrofit Homelink option (no Homelink available from factory on facelift cars).
Anyway, I don't think you can buy individual switches. From memory you had to buy the whole panel with all the switches you need already fitted. And I dare say that you can't just wire to the switches like you could in the old days, probably a canbus connection.

FYI in my car between the start / stop button and the parking sensors button I have the auto parking button.
The button between the passenger air bag light and the traction control button is for the rear sun blind.
