New Member & Eventuri Carbon Intake Question

Hi All,
Picked my 2015 RS6 up on Thursday last week and its wicked, already lined up a Milltek System to be fitted to it shortly to give it a bit more ooommmppphhh so to speak.
My main question is in regards to the Eventuri carbon intake that they offer for the RS6. I've had a suggestion that its the way to go in terms of a good performance gain for the car and improving the general intake feed for the Turbo's and best bang for buck by the garage that is fitting the Milltek.
Now my query is as follows... I've spent some time familiarising myself with this intake and there were similar products offered for 911's which is where my previous ownership lies, but they were always blasted fro being hot air intakes as often the designs didn't quite work, also the performance gains were often found out to be a little ambiguous etc.
So has any of you got this product fitted? notice the difference? any issues? any CEL lights produced? etc etc etc ....
Also i guess i'll throw in there has anyone got experience with the Milltek road plus system? That is whats been suggested to me to fit to the RS6, it sits between the Res and Non Res pips.
Cheers and TIA

While the Eventuri is beautiful and possibly the only aftermarket air filter that shows any gain it is far from what I would call bang for buck. £2100 for a 19ps gain or half that for circa 120ps from an MRC map. You do the maths.
And I don't think I've seen anyone verify the manufacturer's claims on the Eventuri yet, many other manufacturers also claimed gains with their intakes, although I can believe they have a gain.
they recently released a video about the ds sign process for the C7 intake on
YouTube. Have you seen it?

Never heard of this half way house Milltek either. How different does it sound from cutting out the front and centre resonators for £200?

Hi Mike,
Yes I've watched the design process for the Eventuri, found it very interesting. In regards to the tune, yes i get that i suppose i mean bang for buck without going down the tune route so to speak.
And in regards to the Q about the exhaust, I wouldn't know as i haven't done either yet, I'm planning on the exhaust upgrade but wanted to see if anyone had any input/experience.

I've got an Eventuri.
I don't have anything to compare it to, since I did the Eventuri along with a Stage 2 Flash at the same time.
However, the owner of the
Shop, had another RS6 along with mine there, and drove them back to back, and he undoubtedly said that mine was quicker. Felt quicker. Take from that what you will. Both RS6s have the same exhaust and same tune (HMS Full Exhaust, Simon Motorsports Stage 2), so, it's about as equal as you're going to find. Only difference is the Eventuri vs no Eventuri.
If they yielded 19HP on a stock car, I would reckon a tuned car should pick up a bit more. Assuming somewhere around 25-30hp increase...that should be decently noticable.

have you had any issues/CEL from the Eventuri? did you notice any difference from driving the car to the
Shop to driving it home? anywhere near their claims of gains should surely be noticeable off the bat?

I'm still waiting on some true customers dyno results compaired to developers or retailers claims (or butt dyno claims). Off all intakes, the eventuri might be the best design and style (semi open hot air box)....still find it overpriced especially for the gains. Anyway

.
Not familiair with the road plus milltek setup...runninh (catless dp) + non res milltek s6 (that one has mufflers just after the midpipes). All i can say is with valves open....it is insane loud.

Yeah its hard to find actual owners reviews that suggest there is a noticeable gain. Even above, with becausephilchow saying that he cant tell the difference, i would have thought with the 19bhp claimed gain that it would be noticeable at least from the get go until you were used to it.
i must admit everything i have read has either been described as res or non-res so the road plus was a new one but going to speak with Milltek a bit further about it

The power these cars are running you ain’t feeling any difference from a 2k intake!!
Crazy money for a mod that’s visual only.
Spend the money on something else or a holiday!

He said he couldn't tell a difference because he has a remap at the same time so how do you know how much of that was remap and how much is intake.

How was your HMS Exhaust? Does it drone at all? How does it sound in the RS6?

No, I have not had any issues/CEL with the Eventuri. It performs great, and feels great. Sounds great too.
I had a Stage 2 Flash, full HMS Exhaust, and the Eventuri done off the same time, so I cannot comment on the gains, but, as I stated above, my
Shop, has another identical RS6, with the same tune, and exhaust, only difference being I have the Eventuri, and the owner has driven both back to back, and feels that mine feels noticeably faster. So, take from that as you will.

I'm in Hong Kong, so my price may differ from yours since I don't have VAT, but I incur a heavier shipping cost. Roughly about GBP5,500.00 for the Full Exhaust.
Doesn't drone to me. Sounds very close to stock with the valves closed (Under 3K RPM), and, when they're open, sounds like a monster.
