RS6 Performance 2nd year service

Post by Jezzer » Wed Mar 21, 2018 11:05 am

Any idea if the price I’ve been given below is competitive? Mine has done 5k miles and the service requires oil service, inspection, spark plugs, pollen filter and pan roof service, been quoted £1179 inc VAT. Had an oil service in year one at 3k miles
Nardo Grey RS6 Vorsprung 600 PS 2021 model
Nardo Grey RS6 Performance 605 PS. Titanium
Misano Red RS4 B8 450 PS

WOW
yeh thats a lot - who is quoting you that?
Check your manual but plugs shouldnt be required (im 100% sure for non performance)
There is actually a pan roof service?! - shouldnt this be part of the inspection service (lube the necessary etc)

APS at Brackley quoted me £869 inc VAT but I’m not sure how this would affect the value of the car at a later date if it isn’t dealer stamped, especially on an RS6

If you take away the spark plug service it is pretty much the same as any other RS. The only difference for me is that the spark plugs requite changing more often than on other cars (including the non performance RS6). And 8 decent spark plugs cost about £200 so £450ish to change at a main dealer isn't bad considering their hourly rate (which it criminal if you ask me, but that's the price we pay to drive these cars).

Yes,

Just had mine done at Bath Audi. Price It's about right. The pan roof check is needed, so they said, to avoid any voiding of the warranty in the event of a possible future claim re the roof operation, if you see what I mean. I didn't ask much, perhaps I should've.

WarrAnty requirement? My dealer has never mentioned the pan roof service. I just silicone grease the rubbers every year to stop creaks.

Hopefully I haven't got my Jezzers mixed up.... Your brother used to post a lot on Tyresmoke, and you posted occasionally on there too I think? If so, why not use Hitchin which is local to you? I was recommended to use them many years back by an RS6 owner on here Malcolm, others recommended them too, especially for RS models. I used them when I had my V8 S4 (sadly now departed) and my dad switched from Bedford (who are pretty hopeless) to Hitchin too. They allowed you to supply your own oil when I asked (although this was a few years ago). Great service last time I visited with my old man (A3 first service @ 18 months old)

Paid about 450GBP here in Croatia for 1.5 year 25,000km service.
No spark plugs needed.
