adaptive headlight fault?

Post by boss1.89 » Wed Jan 24, 2018 7:47 pm

hi guys had my adaptive headlight throw up a fault for a while i got my windscreen changed and apparently needs re calibrating to an expense of £450 from audi at a selected site closest to me which would be york here is the thing so the car now indicates with a small indicator and does not use the day time running lights like it once did so im guessing i have an actual issue with my lights has anyone else had this issue

main beem asist was the fault now it says adaptive light fault i believe.

thanks

Yep you have to get the camera and whatever other sensors are around the windscreen recalibrated. I had my screen replaced late last year and they (Audi) recalibrated at same time.

And breathe...

I know the windscreen will need calibrating but will it cause all these faults? I'd assume without calibration you will probably end up blinding other drivers or not lighting up the road correctly but wouldn't expect errors.
Have you plugged it into a laptop to see what the fault codes actually are?
I assume this is non-Matrix lights?

It’s because it’s an aftermarket windscreen might just see what price to replace the full thing if they gonna calibrate at same time it gives an error code every time I turn on the car no it’s not been plugged in what software would I need had my gtr run ecutek which sorted all these error codes and issues out

2014 facelift mate not matrix no

Hazards used to be used on daytime lights so it’s more than just the calibration I believe will go take a pic of error I get on dash now

Windscreen calibration should be free - when I had screen changed by Autoglass, calibration was included.

Any idea how much for just a new windscreen might be the way to go since Audi are crazy just to calibrate
