its a farewell

Post by superlightr » Wed Jan 24, 2018 4:11 pm

Had my RS6 from new for 2 years almost to the day.

Enjoyed the car very much, great in such weather as we have at the moment and very fast, stable and a pleasure to drive.
Thought others may be interested in the maths of it.

Bought for £72k including £6k of options after going via car wow. pan, wheels, black pack, tow, tints, exhaust, camera etc.

Sold for £54k with 20000 miles. Nothing wrong with the car and 1 year warranty left, new tyres 5 mths ago and 2nd year service in Dec.

Always wanted a DB9 so trying one of those as I have a gap of 18mth when that will fit with the family, perhaps may then go for the new RS6 C8? when that comes out.

The RS6 has truly been an amazing car.

Interesting, thanks for posting.

£750 per month in depreciation alone is an eye opener for sure, what price fun?

I paid nearly £70k for my 2016 C7 last April and only had it for around 5 months before selling it (couldn’t justify the £1100 monthly anymore!) with 19k on the clock and it went for £64k in the end (lots on the forum said it would go for less than £60k so just goes to show). Best car I’ve ever owned and the A45 AMG I currently drive is half the car the RS6 was....but then again it was half the price!
