Maybe some more infra red temp data (keep in mind the ambient temps where 7°C lower then my previous log and i didn't pushed it that hard!).
Unshielded Shielded
Ambient air: 11°C 4°C
Oil temp: 102°C 94°C
Cats: 390°C 290°C (that one kinda gives away i didn't floored it tooooo much)
Manifolds: 300°C 80-90°C (the passengiers side is still half shielded and the unshielded side read 210°C)
Turbo: hotside 260°C / cold 90°C 146°C (fully shielded) 120°C (half shielded) cold side 60°C - 65°C
Intake tubes (heat wrapped): 75°C 70°C (again that side is atm still only half shielded)
Airfilter: 50°C 34°C (this time the filter and box had same temps)
Coolant reservoir: 80°C 68°C (again maybe indication i didn't floored it that much and lower ambient temps cooled things better)
Metal air-water charger: 55°C 60°C
Kinda shows it is hard to data log on different days etc, but kinda happy to see the fully shielded manifold kept a lot of heat inside as surface temps dropped by 1/3 (give and take as i didn't floored it that much). Just hope the hot side of turbo's can handle the insulation under load (as those turn boiling 'red') but the insulation can handle up to 982°C continuous/1204°C intermittent.
*sorry for the confusion, i'm indeed the insulation guy and not the water/meth guy :p but very curious about the install (well atm water only for me) as it makes me want to do the water injection aswell seeing those IAT's . Personally i rather want to use the windshield reservoir as water injection tank (since it has a build in 'low level' warning and hook up the windshield to other reservoir and pomp (do not really care if that runs out of water :p).
*Crap, i had added spaces between the data to make it more visible between unshielded and shielded but apperently the txt code doesn't apply it when posted. OHwell .

I'm using obdeleven, bit simular as VCDS but for android. Pretty cheap app/dongle but always carry it in the car.
You can do almost anything you can do with VCDS, comes with a few 'one click' settings and you can live data record stuff.

Can i ask where the injectors were fitted, also did it make more power - feel quicker?
It is faster, feels more responsive now especially when shifting. I'll Dyno it when I get a chance.
You hear the noise of the spray from the boot when it activates, sounds good now but would probably become annoying after some time.
My recommended mix was 75/25 Meth.

I suppose they drilled indeed in the front of the plastic air manifold just behind the radiator or from the top, very curious as that means a difference between removing charge cooler and radiator :s. More specific info is much appreciated .
As this might be my next step aswell...
Meanwhile wrapped the passengier manifold and top side of the turbos. Not sure about the underside of the turbos...almost impossible to get by and bit worried if it aint a decent fitting and pressed against the surface it will create heat pockets and do more harm then it is worth.
All bit risky buisness (but in wirst case i'm in for turbo upgrade).
Next might be the downpipes....

1) I don't think the heat sheild touching the turbo will matter, and is much better to be shielded and touching, than not shielded and not touching
2) you have used the wong stuff to wrap your turbo intakes, thats heat wrap to keep heat in NOT keep heat out, you need these for the intakes: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172887065041

Cheers ...hm that you mention, totally wrong material (lets heat through instead of blocking)!
Will remove it, leave stock or check for better material.
Meanwhile did one downpipe. Only +-30cm from trubo downwards, witch is the place were the tunnel starts to open up again and hopefully most heat finds its way outside...
Still gonna do the other downpipe and call it a night .

Considering the manifolds/turbos/downpipes shielding a wrap .
Sadely run out of material to cover the underside of the turbo's, not sure if that is a bad thing or not (will be difficult to do it anyway) but should be better then nothing i think?
