Stage 2 owners.. Had any major fault codes?

Post by TRS6 » Sat Jan 13, 2018 8:06 am

So the story goes..

I have been running stage 2 APR on my car for nearing 4 months now without an issue and I don't drive it all that hard.

Other modifications include

Milltek downpipes
Milltek Full Exhaust
KW H.A.S

Recently the dash lit up like a xmas tree.

Good news is that its not engine or trans related.

The constant issues coming up have to do with the ABS module and steering angle sensor. Another owner here had the ABS lume replaced but this seems different to his symptoms.

Before people rain on my parade.. I understand you pay to play etc...

I am only interested in responses where by anyone may have experienced similar with stage 2 and what they did to remedy beyond sending to Audi to diagnose.

Thanks in advance.

Stage 2 owners.. Had any major fault codes?

Does the car have warranty? I would just take it in to a dealer your friendly with and get the issue diagnosed can’t see how the map can effect the abs?

Will get sorted under warranty if dealer and Audi think map hasn’t caused it

I got two new front brake calipers in warranty and my old C7 was stage 2 Litchfield mapped....Audi knew this too.

Dealer told me if fault is deemed not be related or caused by mods car would be covered under warranty.

@Chris - Apparently the ABS modules loom/wiring harness can flex and damage due to excess torque. Or so I am told by the other owner who had this issue.

Audi in OZ are a little funny and quick to void warranty.

It may be a case of removing all said mods and taking to dealership as you've both mentioned.

Hoping someone may have had similar issues.

Thanks RTD & Chris

You are not very clear with the faults. Do you get a load of faults all come up at the same time? Do any of them last, if so for how long, or does it simply flash up some faults then they go instantly? I assume you've plugged it into a laptop which is where you got the ABS and steering angle sensors issues from?

Agree my thread is maybe a little vague.

I have the diagnostics however its about 12 pages in length... Not sure how to upload such a sizeable file.

Anyone who may know best here I am happy to email this across.

Appreciate help here.

Very very nice

I’ve got two friends down for an RS

One is planning on white the other is aiming for viper green in homage to his uncle who passed away and had a 997 RS in that colour.

Enjoy.
