Remus or Milltek

Contemplating an exhaust upgrade. I know there are many fans of the Milltek (I had one on my RS4), but any experience of Remus, as they also have one for the RS6. I want an increase in sound but not too loud
Have discounted Akrapovic at the moment as I wont keep the car long enough for the investment to be worthwhile (unless of course I sell it separately), but the likely hood is I'd see if anyone was in the market for the stock Audi Sport one once its taken off the car as I'm not sure Id want it hanging around the garage doing nothing.
Any suggestions? Oh and whilst I'm at it, thinking of using R-Tech Auto design or SCC Performance in St Albans to supply and fit as they are local to me, unless anyone has any other recommendations not that far away?
R-Tech have quoted me £2257.20 including vat and fitting for the Milltek and £2788.20 for the Remus....
Thanks

Don't be daft
Milltek is crap
Knocks on undercarriage and rear outlets look crap through ovals
This Is that you want for £200...keep OEM valves and tailpipes.

Is that Milltek quote for turbo back or cat back? The remus must be for cat back as they don't do a turbo back system (although they do an axle back system but I do hope that is not the price for 2 back boxes!!)?
As Iain says i'd be looking at more like £1500 for a milltek cat back (although that may have risen by a hundred pounds or so in the last year).
But I'm with Chris, you can have a sound very simialr to Milltek for a couple of hundred pounds.

Remus, it’s a quality system. Milltek, definately isn’t.

I did the same as Chris and Mike. I wanted louder but not all the pops and bangs. I found it just too annoying in valve open mode. Every time I lifted even at very low speed it was popping.
I’m back on OEM sports exhaust but it’s just too quiet. I agree with others Milltek is crap quality. I’m at a loss as to the route I take now

Remus is not bad quality and decent value for money. Remus is our popular seller for the new M3 due to its lower pricing compared with other systems
If you would like a quote to supply drop me an email and we'll see what we can do

There is also supersprint as a consideration or go for a custom made item. I’m considering the supersprint.

I'd love an Akra but just tooooo expensive for in effect a tube of metal...albeit nice metal.
I'd consider a second hand Akra but it would have to be circa £2k....(I can only dream)

I think Mr Olson got it free. The quality of Milltek is crap but on the positive side it does come with warranty if you’re the original purchaser. I should know I’ve had six different Milltek systems over the years

Milltek and Remus quotes are both cat back....so looks like i'm probably not getting a particularly good deal even if I go for a Milltek
