I had a C6 RS6 for a couple of years. Long story short I am now in a C7 (non RS).

I have a few questions hopefully you guys can help me with:

Keyless. It works for ignition on and starting but does not seem to open the doors you have to press the fob - is that correct?
HVAC controls are rotary knobs but there is no display to show the temp set - I have looked everywhere?
Parking sensors only come on when you press the parking sensor button or go into reverse?

I have had a quick look over the manual but cant seem to see answers to any of these.

New or second hand car?
Keyless you normally dont need to press fob. Just have the fob near you and pull the door handle (no need to but press finguer on doorhandle rectangle unlocks aswell). Closing is done with fob or pressing the rectangle.
Maybe previous owner coded out the fob use if that is possible (anti thieft?).
Hvac, the moment you turn the knob, it should show you fans with temps in the mmi. Not in my car, but isnt there a display between the knobs showing temps?
Parking sensors only turn on in reverse or pressing switch during low speeds (10km).

You may have keyless start but not keyless entry ??

And keyless start standard on all C7s.

As above, keyless start is standard but keyless entry is an option.

The temp should be on a display between the dials. It also comes up momentarily on the screen after adjusting it. The display shows fan speed or vent directions for a few seconds after pressing either the fan or vent direction buttons but will revert back to temp after a few seconds.

Parking sensors only come on if you either select reverse or press the button. What does yours do?

Thanks guys. Looks like I have keyless start then but not doors... seems a bit pointless LOL.

Anyway, will check the HVAC but pretty sure no temps show up anywhere.

There is no display on the actual AC control other than the numbers on the nobs.

If I move the nob from say 18 to 22 nothing comes up on the MMI.

Huh? You can't tell from that what temperarure it is set at? You on drugs? Hard to tell from the angle of the photo but I'd say the drivers side is set to 19 degrees. Doesn't the red bar on the knob tell you the temperature by the number it's pointing to?
The panel is completely different to mine which has no numbers or lines so you need the digital display to tell you the temperature buts your temperature is written on it.

That is manual climate control and not the electronic version. Which is why you will not see any digital temperature notification. There is also no digital readout on the panel.
This was on the normal A6 base cars.

Surely an RS6 would have the electronic version with digital temp display as standard????

Thats the 3 zone climate system whereas the RS have a 4 zone system with individual temp displays

You are kidding? Right? The numbers are on the bleedin dials. You have old school a/c.

In my defence, my old C6 RS6 had digital read out so I just assumed a C7 would have at least the same or better.
Second, the numbers are quite small.

That said its a "farmer Giles edition (tm)". (AllRoad)

No I am not on drugs. LOL.
