Not surprised that Rs6 lost, first Mercedes has more torque 850 nm and Rs6 750, and no launch control was used https://youtu.be/_JB9Ki9YWXU

What are your thoughts?

My pervious was a E63 AMG

Both great cars. like the sound better in the AMG. Both heavy cars but shrunk when pushing on. Liked the interior of the RS6 better.

The AMG would not tow (not type approved) hence why the RS6 Happy to own either.

But if the RS6 had a Milltek it would have slaughtered the Merc 😂

Tesla no great surprise, although should have been a 10.5sec quarter mile so either not running Ludicrous mode or a crap driver, E63S about right with more torque & better launch credentials, but the big 7 Series beating the RS6 was somewhat of a surprise,

RS6 Still looks the best out of all 4 regardless of the results :biggrin3:

Yep would agree with that.

The AMG looked very bland. My last E63 was the more boxy shape and look like aggression in a suit. The current amg just looks as tough as a hard boiled egg ! - BMW - well tis ok looking, Tesla - marmite but growing on me.

Can't agree with you concerning sound, Rs6 with Miltek sounds way better than any amg

Ha ha, you're pushing your Miltek love there! You need your ears testing.

I tested the new E63s last week. The interior and display were in another level compared to the Audi. However performance was not. I appreciate on paper it's faster but the take off thump was not there. It was more of a waft to 60 than a sprint. Then comes the looks... it's just not there for me. Great to see some 4wd competition coming into the market though, will make Audi up
their game for 2019.

...RS4/5 would suggest that they aren’t bothered in upping their game.

RS4/5 aren't being trounced by other manufacturers same model class! Rs6 is and if they don't do something very special they could loose the market on big powerhouse estates. Looking at the 7, the 19" RS6 is looking to be 700+ bhp.

I also tested the E63S Estate two weeks ago and have to admit that the interior was out of this world - not sure on the looks outside and how it compares to the RS6. I'm guessing the interior on the RS6 is looking dated compared to this. Only driven the RS6 on one of Audis track days and that was around the car park course. Thoughts?

I've just handed back the RS5 I had for two days and that handles way better than the Merc, almost as quick in real driving situations but totally impracticable for as a family car.

Hoping to get the RS6 for couple of days next week.

I test drove the Merc before dropping the last RS6, July or August.
The cockpit felt big; perhaps aimed more at comfort and lacked the ergonomic feel of the Audi, the screens used for driver info and sat nav were amazing, if that’s your thing, I spend most of my time looking up and out of the screen, not down.
Sound/noise.... I had to get out of the car and ask the sales rep to rev it, it was ok, thats all I can say ok. Unfair comparison to mine as it’s not stock.
I didn’t push the car to its limits as I lost my bottle on every attempt, big car mentality certainly exists on these, ok I wasn’t used to the car but it confirmed for me what i take for granted, quattro, and it still does it for me, Merc may have had it on one test vs a stock rs6 in a straight dry line, but when corners and bends are involved, no way.
