You can smart start mine but the car remains locked. If you get in the car as soon as you press the clutch without he keys in the ignition the car stops and the alarm sounds. Is that what you want?

Viper and Pandora both do remote start alarms.

Ok so I have the Viper. With remote start, proximity, long range remotes, tilt, shock, ODBC port disabled. Sounds like that would do the job.

No, it's remote start. It remote stop. There are ably a hand full of people that do remote stop, Vodafone is one of them and even then you can't stop the car, only Vodafone can under instruction from the police.
The kit and install is a good way over a grand.

It's not cheap but.... you get what you pay for. You select the bits you want as it is completely modular. I'm going to add the tracker piece next.
I'm also looking at Blackjax as an additional safety feature.

You can't remotely disable the car as that is not safe.
All cat 5 trackers can do this but as Jon said they can only do it if the police request it and only if it is a danger to other road users.
Blackjax is an alternative that will automatically diasble the car if no code is entered after a few minutes; but this sounds like a ball ache to most people to have to do every time you start the car or open the drivers door when the engine is running. However, most people that have them said it becomes second nature after a while and they just do it without thinking.

I'm getting closer to thinking if someone has your keys (they couldn't get in my car without them) the. They are taking it. Andy has a great example of BlackJax doing what it does best. I'm hoping the huge blue flashing
Sticker in the window says leave me alone and find someone else.

Now that I know, the tracker and remote start / stop is completely pointless, i refer to my earlier post 'kill switch' AKA 'blackjax' is the only real deterrent from all the other gimmick that the vehicle security specialist are offering, that and the OBD panel lock or moving it to a completely different place.
