Anyone done there own pads and discs. I normally do my other cars but getting told by my pal not to do this one.

I wouldn’t do the rears as I know you need to reset the electric handbrake but the fronts must be easy.

Fairly simple job :).
You might want to download this workshop/servicing pdf.
It is for the S6 but should be as good as identical for most things.

Got discs and pads from Crewe Audi for £1014. Going into my VAG specialist next week for 1.5 hours. Much cheaper than the £1350 my local dealer wanted.

Nice. Audi like to rip us southerners off I guess. Where I live the same group own all the local Audi dealers. They price match any of their dealers but won’t outside of their dealer location.

Audi Norwich quoted me £993.86 to supply AND fit front discs and pads. My service manager was baffled by this as the price of the parts alone as supplied by Audi come to £1135.17.

Audi Crewe supplied me with a whole set - front and rear discs, all pads and sensors - for £1495 delivered (not fitted) so they have plenty of margin in these.

Still on original discs all round at 30K. Changed pads in rear at 26K but discs have plenty of life left in them. Front discs are very close to minimum though, bizarrely pads still OK.
