DRC

Post by bigbaz1974 » Mon Jul 31, 2017 3:45 pm

Guys,

I am looking to move up to an rs6 from my current rs4 b8, my question is are there any problems with DRC on the rs6 as I had problems with my front shocks knocking on my car which took me a lot of time and hassle to get fixed under warranty by Audi. So am reluctant to get another car with DRC. Thanks in advance

Some early dampers did knock but only 3 or 4 cars on here affected. Audi replaced them free using a "non resonating" revised design. I also had leaking DRC pump which led to knocking even with revised dampers (I personally think the leak, and resulting low pressure, was my problem all along and they misdiagnosed it). Problem free since (last 6000 miles).

DRC adds a lot to the handling and feel of the 6, but air very good too.

Likewise my DRC was replaced FOC and importantly unlike on RS4's with no questions asked. Problem free with revised dampers since.
