Rear brake pads

Post by alexrs6plus » Mon Jul 17, 2017 9:47 pm

I have been unable to find any info on these via the search function.

Does anyone know the product code for these and do audi use Brembo rear pads?
Also does anyone know the best place to buy these plus price?

Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for rear pads. Options so far are:
OEM
Ferodo DS2500
Brembo ones from Euro Car Parts

OEM; can't be bothered to go into a dealers and order a set and feel one of the aftermarket options could be better.
Ferodo; I'd have probably gone with Ferodo but they don't have wear sensors and the photos of the pads are generic photos with no mention of the screws or retaining clips that the other pads come with.
Brembo; Not sure if the Brembo's are OEM or better (or worse?). Thought OEM were TRW.

Are there any other good options?

Still haven't decided. Probably just go for OEM.

I installed the Brembo ones in the rear. Had no issues with them and seemed to work as well or better than the standard ones with no squeal apparent in the time I had it. Also a little less brake dust than OEM.
I also had the DS2500's on the front axle as you do mike. Seems a good combo.

P.S. Mike, you are correct that OEM are TRW.

Just ordered the Brembo ones from ECP. They have a 37% discount at the moment so they went from £94 to £59. Bargain.

Good to know, what are they like to fit, other than resetting the callipers via VCDS anything else that needs doing?

You need VCDS to wind the rear calipers back in.
