resonators re-install

Hi nice to meet you all, this is my first post!
I just bought a 2014 RS6 C7. The previous owner removed the 2 front resonators tube and the mid resonator box.
In sport mode the sound is very sporty, lots of backfire pops. There are quite a lot of drone near idle speed, but as speed increases the drone is replaced by awesomness!
In D mode the car becomes fairly quiet, however there's still a little of drone. Wife has been complaining about a low humming in her head, in heavy traffic, especially in the back seats. My question: if I am going to put some of the resonators back, which one will eliminate more drone, the front or the back? I am guessing the back box because bigger size = lower frequency... yes?

Ray

Nice!! Congratulations mate, if your wife is complaining about this one then I should send you the sound bite from my exhaust for the c6. I've got her booked in at 4fabrications tomorrow so hopefully they'll sort it out.

From what i think, the mid (suitecase) will make things silence the most....
But agree, the wife better be worth it :) (let's not give her extra excuses for what causing her to have headache's :p)
good luck

Aye. I like the noise but could do without the artificial pops and bangs. Just makes you look like a nobber.

That's why I disconnected the valve. I have loud noise all the time but can have the gearbox on Drive so no pops and bangs.
