Good range = low fuel consumption

So I filled up on Tesco mementum yesterday and drove from Stirling to London - roughly 420 miles. I arrived last night and the range said 50miles left in the tank. This morning, it said the same. I had cruise on at a sensible speed all the way but I think that is really good. Is this normal?

That's pretty good going! The range and economy of the C7 is impressive considering the car it is. What was your best mpg?

Range is only impressive as it has a big fuel tank!
I get about 28-30mpg on mway which I think equates to around 400 a tank.
Only ever managed 320 though and as little at 190

I'm quite confused by my current RS6 PE fuel consumption. I reset my long term fuel consumption a couple of weeks ago. It is currently showing 18.3 average. However during that period my short term consumption is usually 22mpg. There has been the odd short run of only 14mpg but then that has been balanced to some degree at least with the odd run at 25 or more. I cannot figure why the long term consumption seems to be unrelated to short term averages!
I'm going to reset it again soon and monitor it thoroughly!

On a good run I'm about the same - 28mpg to 30mpg. Anything more and I'd be upset I'm not driving it properly !

I'm guessing then a total of 80 with a 5 litre reserve. Same as the C6. If that's the case then that's very impressive considering my best range has been circa 330 miles

Well the C6 needed a trailer with another fuel bowser on it to compete with the C7 mpg!! One thing I don't miss is spending half my driving time at the petrol pump and/or watching fuel burning away sat in traffic.

'twas only this morning whilst driving into London that my mpg was nearly in single figures.
That being said, 330 miles out of a car with a twin turbo V10 is pretty good.

You can get way more than 75 litres if your patient and can be arsed to brim it.

The most I ever saw after brimming the C6 tank was a 340 mile range. Needless to say I never got anywhere near that! Lots of people hate stop/start. I love it as it saves me fuel, plus you don't sit in traffic with (in my case) the Milltek booming constantly and everyone looking at you. Not a car for Greenpeace members

But you look like a <beep> when it fires up with a milltek boom every time you need to move a few feet.

'Only' have the sports exhaust at the moment and the great 'Milltek vs Akra vs Capristo' debate rages on and on and on. Bit like the ceramic debate really!
