Oil Change Interval - best advise?

One can buy 8L of CASTROL EDGE 5W30 FULLY SYNTHETIC TITANIUM FST ENGINE OIL for £64.50 delivered on eBay or, if you would rather trust Amazon Prime, then there for £71.38 delivered, so I am happy to do an oil change more frequently than the car's Service Check frequency advises, if that would be more beneficial for the engine.

I realise the sort of driving one does has an effect, but is there any consensus amongst owners on our forum as to what would be the best time/distance interval for the C7 RS6/7 ?

S6 tuned engine here (so not as big oil cooler as the rs6 so thinking my oil gets hotter faster?) and doing my oil changes myself aswell. Recently done my first (piece of cake imho). Planning to change oils every 5.000 or maybe every 7.500km.
I aswell picked the castrol edge titanium fst full syn 5w30.
I assume it all depends a bit how hot your oil gets daily and sporadical, yet if you do it yourself it turns out a pretty 'cheap' job and always a good feeling running on fresh oil.

I usually change mine every 5-7.5k miles or whenever it gets to min. level on the gauge which falls in that range. Always bought oil through Opie depending on their deal at the time or eBay with no issues

DMS also think the car's computer interval is fine and yes Tadass you are right, I had in my mind 15,000miles, which seems a lot, but it is in fact 15,000Km (approx, 9,000miles), which is a lot less.

Thanks for clarifying everything

I did my first oil change at just 3K miles (5k km) and thereafter will repeat at half the recommended intervals. I intend keeping the car well beyond its warranty and consider that clean fresh oil is a low cost no brainer for longevity. High oil temp is not a problem with fully synthetic oils but low temps on repeated short runs will always shorten oil life.

Didn't knew about the low temps/short runs :) but good to know and agree. Oilreplacements one shouldn't delay and for its cost, better saffe then sorry :).
