Facelift MMI trailer option

Do all facelift air cars have this or only ones with a tow bar fitted?

Only Air cars can have tow bars.
I am guessing that the installation of the factory tow bar brings up the menu option.

I had a FL-Air car 2016 without tow bar and never noticed it on my trawl through the menus.

Not sure (can't check because I have the tow bar) but this tick option setting isn't required for the factory-fit bar because it is enabled automatically when the tow bar is deployed. The setting is provided in the MMI to enable the suspension to be locked on cars that don't have the factory fitted bar.

Ok. So not sure if the car I'm looking at has a tow bar or not.
