I am considering a 2014 car at the moment at a non audi dealer
The factory warrenty runs out in a few months. I ran up to find out the cost of extending it but computor says no as its not close enough to the expiery dat . I even called them .

So can anyone give me an idea of the cost of extending the factory warrenty ?

My 2013 had 3 warranty options to chose from.

From memory the premium was dictated by the amount of excess you wanted to pay per claim.

I went for the middle option.

Thats a lump, may be better to hold out for a audi approved car

Jeez. For that, I would take the punt on nothing going wrong.

I'm having similar thoughts and whilst mine runs out in December this year the cars done 4000 miles.
Great it's got low miles... but what may be around the corner that typically gets sorted under warranty that is usage / mileage related?
Anything?

I'd rather buy 1791 lucky dip lottery tickets and take a chance on nothing serious going wrong. I'd even wager that Audi would look after you outside of warranty for any genuine engine or gearbox failure as long as the car has FASH and not been modified.

it was owner of JBS tuning own car, he never uses it - always using their R&D cars (S1 currently) instead.
