C6 V10 versus C7 V8 ??

I'm sure many of you have owned both? I had the opportunity today to open up the C7 it was quick low down but didn't really get much quicker, unlike my C6 which was brutal and just felt like it wanted to go airborne
My C7 is standard and my C6 was MTM mapped with 740 bhp. The C7 is booked in with MRC. Will it make the difference to come up to the C6 ???

You can't have been expecting a stock C7 making 150+bhp less than a remapped C6 feel as fast??!!
The one thing the C6 did was make massive power (twin turbos and a large capacity v10 will help there!).
Show the two any sort of corner and the C7 will destroy a C6 but I wouldn't expect to feel that sort of thrust again, that's the cost of downsizing! It should be close though.

C7 is no match for the relentless top end of a C6. Enjoy the sharper chassis.

Once the C7 is mapped.


It's more than quick enough for Britains roads.....I still LOL in mind....that's the only indicator I need to know I've got a rapid car.

C7 takes it from a standing start.
C6 eventually walks at top end.

Nokian tyres set the world ice record in 2013, they choose the C6 over the current C7 to do it. What does that tell you. C6 maybe a one trick on pony, but its a very good trick.

It's good for destroying motorways or big dual carriageways there is no dispute anything else sadly lacking.

But who cares ultimately celebrate it for that amazing engine. That V10 is an all time great.

Hard to argue with that.

I had mine for four and a half years and loved it. Still one of the best machines I've owned and aside from the R32 the longest I've owned anything. It never missed a beat, never rattled. C7 moved things on but did rattle. A lot. And through discussion at the stealer along with reading here it's clear it isn't hewn from the same stone.

I had a company C6 Allroad and a C7 allroad, it was evident straight away the interior had been subject to cost cutting. I remember thinking how flat and cheap the door cards seemed after the heavily sculpted C6

My C6 is going soon and I'll miss it dearly, the C7 is just a better car though.
