So you want an RS3 and an RS6? Your other topic says you bought the RS6 in March...

Whats fishy about it? yes I want a rs3 AND a RS6. I can afford both whats it got to do with you?
I initially had a deposit on a riviera blue rs6 PE .. when I went to view it , it wasnt as described.. bad paintwork and stonechips so I didnt buy the car.
Thanks!

Daft question - have you tried Pistonheads? - I bought mine from there...was exactly as described and sensibly priced. Most of the guys on here aren't selling their C7s, as they know just how good they are....
Am surprised at the stone chips - given the PE's, unless it was a high miler, or been rallied - Mines @ 26kmiles, mainly motorway and A roads - couple of chips in line with the miles but nothing else.

Im looking at pistonheads and autotrader nearly everyday, some are nice examples but waay over overpriced. Im just waiting for the right one to pop up!

Why way over priced? Surely if you ring and haggle a deal can be had? If you are waiting for a cheap one to pop up you will probably end up disappointed with the condition and will be why it's cheaper!
Life's too short, get out there and get one! If a PE is too expensive get a nice FL and save some money, if performance is an issue get it mapped!

Indeed. The market sets the price, not one individual's aspirations of the price. I don't see how you expect an equivalent car to pop up that's going to be cheaper. You've pointed out to us all that you've got the cash, why not stump up then!!

Cheap cars are cheap for a reason...
You'll have your own opinions and know this stuff anyway - but there are there are some circumstances where you could grab a bargain - likely to be on forums as opposed to trader / PH advertised - ie someone on the brink of trading in but looking for a quick deal privately.
For a 55-70k car, even for a quick sale, you'd expect someone to only knock of 2k or so to make it appealing.
I think The biggest margin is still private v's dealer for a comparable car.
I for one always buy private - I've never had a new car and never bought from a dealer...
