Front Pads

I need some new front pads after 11k miles. Are there any alternatives (OEM equivalent or better) that are out there?

I have only had my C7 for 6 months so I would prefer not to visit Audi every 6 months for a front pad change.

I'm still on my original pads after 14k and over a year.l so can't really help but worth noting the pads are the same as the C6 RS6 so gives you a few more options.

The first 8k was mainly dual carriageway, the next 6k was mainly motorway. Not much stopping going on around here, gentle brake to roundabout speed then back on the power.

I am still on originals at 19k - mixed driving, mostly A and B roads.

I assume the car throws an alarm when time to change?

I'd expect a dash warning light rather than a logged alarm/ fault but maybe things have moved on and it is logged nowadays. But to answer your question I'm pretty sure the front pads have a sensor wire. Not sure about the rears.

There is a Sponsor on here selling Ferodo DS500 pads. Anybody have any experience on these?

My car is not tracked so not too worried about them working at high temps

Back from the dealers - turned out discs scored, so set of discs needed too.

Front pads and discs. Rear pads 8mm left at 23k miles.

All fitted (incl rear wiper blade) £1265

Funny. I have just got back from the dealers, half an hour ago. I, too have a scored front disk but no need to change. 24.5k miles and still on the original front pads and disks; pads are 60% worn. Mind you, I am still on the original tyres, too. Must drive harder....
