Post by PSB1 » Wed Feb 08, 2017 10:56 pm

Says Sepang, but I think it may be noggy and the stealer may be just mistaken?:

Sepang. It's too dark for Noggy.

I know they are both 'pearl' paints' but Noggy goes lighter when the light hits it, where as Sepang goes the other way as seen in the pic.

Hmm, so whoever spec'd it cared enough to provide rear seaters with bum warmers, but not side airbags.

I read a lot of posts about rear side air bags being harfull or not much benefit to children in the rear and were more suited to adults. Most of this was an old wive's tale I think but is probably enough to put a lot of people off. I'm sure they are not harmful otherwise there'd be warnings and a facility to turn them off like the front passenger one.

I think children in car seats is the issue as there's no give in the seat.

I can see how a poorly fitted child seat, well, especially one of those lateral cot things, might be moved out of position by an air bag deploying. But every safety website I've seen recomends them. I wouldn't want my children in anything but the safest possible environment, as I'm sure applies to anyone here.

Perhaps, but if there is doubt which there clearly is then I'm sure a lot of people won't add cost to make their car less safe for their children. Whether it is true or not there is doubt out there.
