I've sent an email to Oscar Goldman directing them to this thread. . Thought that it was the right thing to do. Wouldn't want to know that some innocent people buying that car could get hurt or even killed.
Have always wondered about that outfit. They seem to have the lion's share of the ex Audi C7s. Must bid high and hold out for the suckers to pay the screen price.

Good call. I'm sure they'll be shocked and will take immediate action.

As an aside, the reason I got rid of my GolfR was the ACC. No non adaptive option. Had a number of near misses (stationary cars not recognised, motorway emergency stops). Only circumstances the ACC felt competent was in a 50mph zone moderated by average speed cameras.

When hunting for my RS6PE, key criteria was no autonomous technology.

Can you imagine how dangerous it would be if ACC did recognise stationary objects?!!

You mean "near hits", right? A "near miss" is an actual hit.

Excellent point well made!!
A number of near hits. Shame, the rest of the car was the best I've ever had.

No it isn't. A "near miss" is a miss, but it was close to being a hit.

Errrrm, so what's a "near hit"?

No. You've been brainwashed.

If something nearly misses, it must be a collision, it's the only logical outcome. If there is a near hit, it must be a miss... do you see a pattern here?

It's strange wording, but health and safety class a "near miss" as a miss. Tis RetArded.

Several years ago this was realised at work and we changed the wording from Near Miss to Near Hit.
