I had these on my C6 which involved drilling 10mm holes in the caliper. I see some C7's have these. Mine doesn't. Is it just on FL or is it an option ??

It was standard on the facelift. I don't think it was an option on pre facelift. I'd imagine you can retrofit but note sure if the holes need to be drilled

Is this thread referring to the fill-in plates that make the rear floating calipers look a little like four-pot calipers? If so, that plate is not standard on the facelift. I *think* that the plate was fitted on cars where the red front calipers were ordered.

Yes that's the ones. I drilled the holes to fit them on my C6 . They really finish off the rear calipers nicely. I can't imagine Audi would make a completely different caliper for the rear one for red and others for black.
It was Chris off here that put me onto it I will message him later.

I wasn't implying that the caliper is different if it's red. Just that, if you ordered the optional red finish to the front calipers, they also fitted a red-coloured fill-in plate to the rear calipers as part of that option. The rear and front calipers are, of course, the same in both finishes.

I thought they were standard on all facelift cars. I have the plates on my black calipers.

Another thing

You can't buy the little metal clips separate either.

So if you loose one you've got to buy full caliper set again(X1) and they ain't cheap.
