Re: Consumption
That's the instant/trip average... probably just sat at idle for a while. I think my average overall for the year and about 7500 miles is 17mpg.

Re: Consumption
Think my average was around 17. doing a lot more motorway miles now so probably a bit higher. Tend to get about 22-24mpg cos of the traffic. Clear motorway and it's back to about 18mpg.
But yes, when you first start it, it just keeps dropping until you start driving it, it is sometimes at 6mpg before i pull away.

Re: Consumption
Up to 2000 miles I was having trouble seeing 17mpg - now around 9000 miles and doing 19.7 over the total mileage.
Traffic is bad as I always switch off the damn stop start which drives me nuts.
If you want 20-23 out of mine you need to be drafting an A3 2.0L TDi on the motorway at 75mph

Re: Consumption
I have never reset the computer - i have averaged 23mpg over 11,000 miles (just had to top up the oil, as it happens).
I basically have a rule that if i drive fast somewhere, i have to drive slowly back. I can just about get 30mpg if i do 65mph on the way home with a mixed motorway and town commute over 50 mins.

Re: Consumption
On a recent trip through Europe I 'apparently' averaged 30mpg. However that told me only one thing... that I was not driving fast enough ! : )

Re: Consumption
Quote came back from dealer for £2,500 for set of winter wheels plus tyres. Wheels alone are 1.5k each from Audi. Views?

Thankfully my car came with a set have been using winters for a few years now. To me they are worth it as I drive between different counties regularly and the weather and temps can differ a fair bit.

Re: Consumption
Seems like a good deal - If I'd known that I'd have bought a set rather than buying a second hand set of 21" wheels + winter tyres from Germany!
Re: Consumption
I paid 8k for the ones for my Aston (essential 550bhp RWD), sold for 5k. 2.5 seems cheap even if they are only on for 3 months.
