Spoke to a lad last night who has the c7 rs6 and I asked him does he get torque steer. He said he did really badly he had geo done a couple times didn't solve it. 4 new tyres still the same. Then he got 2 wider front tyres sure he said 305s! And it cured the torque steer.

I no with the rs3 8v they come out factory with wider front tyres. Not sure if that be for some reason though

I have also have bad torque steer steering has its mind of its own when flooring it. So may try the wider front tyres!

305s on the front? No thanks.

Mike and I both got rid of torque steer simply be resetting car to factory geo - properly.

I had mine set to factory well I think it's factory Does this match yours or close?

Here's mine

The rs3 has an option for a wider front tyre to battle the understeer.
Wide tyres will help combat torque steer as will better tyres as essentially you are losing grip.
For the record, I haven't suffered with Torque steer. I had an alignment done because I know Audi do not align properly at factory and I had the car lowered. It made a big difference to the handling but torque steer was never an issue.

Emm ok mate would be interesting to see you alignment report if you still have it? So can compare to mine

I have conti tyres on mine. Have never been a fan of conts so I may change all 4 for mpss see if makes a difference.

I wonder if the rear gripped really well it wouldn't fly the front end side ways.

Like if the rear left doesn't grip as good as the rear right it's what causes the front to drift left under full acceleration. If both gripped equal then it's Gona go in a straight line no matter what? What's your thought on that bud?

If that's the case then wider rears would work better! As will grip more. mine either drifts to the right mostly but does sometime drift to the left. It must be down the the grip on the rears. ?

But then again My mates gtr if one of his rears doesn't grip as good as other it just kicks the back end out a little but still goes straight lol but totally different car so cant judge on that

At 1st I thought it may be just because to much power at the rear making the car lift to much on the front making it really light hence front end just goes everywhere. With you having lowered suspension it won't lift as much on front keeping it flat witch would definitely help keep it going straight

Emm maybe! But front camber can't be adjusted?

On my print out it looks like the wheels are pointing out on the front? Or is hat just the pic?

Just the picture. Positive is toe in. Negative is toe out

Front camber be adjusted, but it needs to be adjusted by moving the subframe. I had my RS4 aligned by Center of Gravity and there was a particular focus on making sure the front camber was even. The front end of the car was much improved, particularly when crossing over the crown of the road to overtake. It's worthwhile getting a specialist to align the car as it can make a huge difference to the way the car feels to drive and the way it performs.

Surely that can only balance it from one side to the other, not actually adjust it? I fitted adjustable top arms to my B7 to allow the camber to be adjusted.
