one of my tyres has a nail in it (pirelli pzero 275 35 20 non -runflat)

Someone locally is selling an identical tyre but the run-flat version. Is this gonna cause any problems or does it not matter?
It means one front tyre will be pirelli pzero run flat and the other pirelli pzero non-runflat

Run flat will tend to have a much stronger sidewall making the steering sensation different.

Wifes Mini has run flats. After replacing them with non-runflat the steering is much nicer as is the ride.
The difference was noticable and so I would hesitate from personal experience

Don't do it.

I had run flats on my BMW. Never again! The ride was horrible on UK roads with all the potholes.
BMW also had a lot of issues with alloys going out of shape because of the combination of poor roads and stiff tyre walls.

So do Audi with 21s on non run flats . But I agree re BMW - in 70,000 miles I bent 6 alloys, which is why I went 20 inch on the RS6. So far (15k) so good. I do live in a poor area for potholes though - lots of B roads and no money!

While I also agree that run flats are the devil's work, people seem to be missing the point - yes it will make a difference.

You shouldn't even put different brands across an axle (or even a different model of tyre, really), and run flat vs normal will be even more of a difference in the way the tyre performs. It could even go beyond comfort and ride and affect the handling and response of the car as they braking performance will be different as well as the stiffness etc of the tyre potentially unsettling the car over bumps or round a corner. That would all be in pretty extreme circumstances I'm sure, but not really worth the risk.

Went for a brand new non-runflat pzero so will be identical to others. The guy who I was gonna buy the pzero runflat tyre off thought I was just making excuses up why I didn't want to buy the tyre lol!
