Surely the dealer would know?! Impossible to say without knowing history.

Depends which regime. You can look in the MMI to see the service indicator, that will tell you when it's next due.

Just had 2 quotes from 2 local Audi dealers said it's the major service

1st was £309
2nd was £524

Both consist of oil/filter. Pollen, and full inspection.

Don't no why there is such a big price diff!

there has to be something included in the 2nd one that isnt in the first.
Plugs maybe?
The first it price more like just an oil service.
Check the audi fixed price service on the website (albeit for car older than 3 years) as a guide. there is a comparison table and they include plugs in the major but they also price this at £985
It is misleading as you dont need to be changing plugs ever major service.

I just had 2 quotes for oil service and they both came to mid 300s. No way can they do a major service for less than I was quoted for oil surely?

Audi dealers are a joke

Every RS I've had I've had differing quotes for work...you even ask what's involved and included you get one story of one service adviser and another story off another....plus varying price levels.

I was told my diff oil wanted changed the last time... cars
Only done 19k!!!

Typical dealer set up for fleet rep diesels and no concept of the RS range or customer.

Independent all the way for me.

I questioned the more expensive quote and said why has the other dealer offered the same service over £200 cheaper! She said this

The registration was on the bottom of the email so I got the information from that. I’m going off the last service and what was 16 months since the last service.

As you can see below the oil change on its own on your vehicle is £345.96 so im unsure what they have quoted you for and how they have got to that cost.

Thanks Karen

And it's annoying that an oil service can be £370 at one dealer and £250 at another (£250 taken from another thread, I'm assuming cheaper labour in Scotland?). All they are doing is changing the oil and filter. How can it cvary by so much?

My first service was a major service done at 18000 miles for £640. Oil and filter change, and loads of checks. No plugs changed, no cabin filter changed. It is just a stamp in the book. In terms of comparing costs, Audi Guildford initially quoted me £700 and another Audi dealership quoted £630. In the end, I couldn't be bothered to take it further than Guildford but then they invoiced me £640 so I was pleased with that.
Pre-facelift cars require a cabin filter at that service, which accounted for the extra £60. But mine was an FL so it didn't need it, hence the lower price.
Compared to the world of motorbikes, where the engines use only a thimble-full of oil but the service is still 250 (BMW) to 500 (Ducati), the RS service is a bit of a steal. At least they have to walk further as they go around it to "check" things.

Just an update
Unicorn developments who come highly recommend for the Audi/vag group has quoted around £120 for the service. Witch seems really cheap! To cheap in fact. So going for that save me some £££

That wouldn't cover the oil.
