Diff oils is normally 19K miles. At least it was on the RS4. I think it's the same for the 6.
The C7 diff oils should be changed at 40k according to Audi.
Do audi dealer change it or you need to ask for it?
The dealer told me at my service last week that it will probably be due on my next service so they will change it.

Gearbox oil...

So Audi do say the ZF is lifetime sealed and won’t/ can’t change it, you can’t even get the parts from TPS.

However if you contact ZF directly about the ZF 8HP55 box which ours has they recommend changing the oil every 60k miles.

Sourced a genuine ZF service kit on eBay for £65 which includes new gasket and pan plus all instructions on how to perform the service then extra for the oil and labour cost so all in about £400

Diff oil change is 40k miles.

So nevermind what the manufacturer of the gearbox say, if Audi say so then it’s right? So naive

If you’d seen the colour of the oils and the state of the filter including the amount of sludge in it you wouldn’t talk such tripe.

They also say gen 5&6 Haldex units don’t need servicing or a change of filter for the lifetime or that chain driven V8’s need the chains replaced ever, believe that too.

When I enquired about this whole sealed for life position with ZF, they told me that Audi don’t really expect to see a car back in a dealership after 3yrs/60k miles. That’s sealed for life for them as the car will be out of warranty and will probably go into the independent service arena. If the GB pops in that time or thereafter they will just pick the bill up - just as long as the car has warranty in place.

My car is at 81k now and I’ve just taken out extended warranty. I was considering a service but decided against it and will just rely on the warranty to cover any issues. But the oil in the GB must be in a bad way......

Mine had both diff oils changed in June by Audi, so they aren't sealed for life. Think the previous owner asked for it.

You have totaly different service manual than ours. We have diffs and gearbox every 60000km. 🤔

Which only adds to the hilarity of Audi’s ‘recommended’ schedule, it’s not even consistent across countries

Audi said this with the C5, they're full of <beep>! Gearbox oil WILL need to be replaced to lengthen the life of the box. All oil needs replacing at some point.
