Transmission oil sealed and changed, only diff oil is changeable, that was stated by Audi
Audi said this with the C5, they're full of <beep>! Gearbox oil WILL need to be replaced to lengthen the life of the box. All oil needs replacing at some point.

Our resident Miltek fanboy doesn't care. When the Gearbox starts whining, he won't hear it

Anyway as I pointed out further down this forum in a similar thread. A tad generic but Audi UK state 38k:

Audi Uk say sealed for life, as you say; that's a generic page.

If anyone is particularly keen to confirm further than it already has been the My Audi app shows additional service items or I can throw your chassis number into Erwin directly.

Servicing requirements and history hasn't been available for months on the My Audi website or App. Wish they'd sort it out.

Hah hah hah 🧐 i think your gearbox ”lifetime” is over very soon. Funny. Isn’t. Yesh.

BMW m5 f10 dct transmission is lifetime. Yeah. Sure. I have driven 82000km my m5 and first transmission oil change is 38000km and second now 81000km.
Lifetime is pretty short if you dont change oil. God people can be stu...!

Lol. Audi said that for Rs6 transmission oil no need to change because of a different gearbox than others Audi models has. So yes I am not going to argue with Audi technicians if they say so. No point

So you prefer to take the advice of franchise technicians who invariably work on a replace rather than fix regime and to set criteria than the people who built the gearbox for Audi? Go figure.

For those who may want to service their gearbox, this is what is recomended by ZF:

ZF Service Information ZF 8HP auto transmission link

The ZF part number for the service kit for the RS6 is 1087.298.369 including the oil (or 1087.298.368 without the oil), which can be purchased here

I am planning to change the oil in my transmission at 60,000km, which is about 38,000 miles. As certainly it has had some "sporty driving" :thumb:

And for the service to be carried out by a ZF approved garage the cost is £892.35.
