Can the OEM sports exhaust be fitted retrospectively to a car with just a normal exhaust?

Yes. It's been done on this forum

does the sorts exhaust have flaps and standard does not?

They both have flaps.

is it true that the sports exhaust has black tips? and is a quad tipped item?

Both oval. Black sports.

Correct. But it is just the exhaust trims that vary in colour and are oval. Unless you get on your knees and look into the trim you can't see the actual exhaust which is actually quad (but not actually round IIRC) and of an unfinished colour.

Mike, can you be more specific, I have sport exhaust do I need to look into Quad pipes as all I can see is 2 pipes goes out and in each side in one pipe flap
