Dashboard shelf?

Hi
Does anyone know what this is?
Ive seen it on alot of different people's RS6. But it is nothing i got when i bought mine used.
Im talking about the "storage" thing over the steeringwheel dash.

Head up display. It's a bit nasty IMO!

Can confirm, it's the display/projector for the heads up display.

Yes must admit as much as heads up display is a nice thing to have, its not the prettiest thing to look at on the top of the dash is it
loving the interior by the way, looks fantastic

Indeed. Looks like a Aston Martin stitching almost
Yeah it wasnt beautifull.. I thought it was some kind of extra storage space option when buying the car lol.

I dont know. Found the picture at the American Audi-forum.
Apparently it is a custombuild. The company do all kinds of customjobs for customers.

Yeah clearly an aftermarket job. It has alcantara dash with leather centre console and leather upper door cards. I don't even think the extended leather / exclusive options had that much niceness.
