MMI data in Europe

Hi,

Not really RS6 specific, but I'll be driving from the UK via France and Switzerland and into Italy this summer and will have the family in with me on the way back. I usually use a pre-paid EE SIM for 4G, but know this won't work in Europe so I want to know what anyone else uses for SIMs/data for pan-European expeditions! I want to use the traffic updates, Google maps, local info and also WiFi to keep everyone entertained!

Thanks

You'll have no issue with the nav, I've used it several times now in France. Spot on.

Essentially you will need to buy a data SIM when you get abroad and swap out your EE one. Or you can buy them here on the internet. I had a look a few weeks ago and I don't recall them being particularily cheap but probably cheaper than roaming through EE.
Or do as above and use the normal sat nav map without google earth and keep everyone entertaied with some dad music and singalongs rather than wifi.

Best EU roaming bundles I have found to date are 3 believe it or not.

i use a pre-paid 3 sim (12gb for 12months for £30) and it gives you European roaming at no extra charge - did the same drive back in June and it worked fine for me

Thanks for all the ideas, but this sounds just the ticket. Cheers
