Nope, not well wishers!

Pretty much everytime after a journey in the car the fans come on to cool the car down. I admit, much of the time i thrash the car, but even after a sedate journey i will lock the car and the fans will still be going for some time after.

Normal?

Yes same here. Lots of heat disbursing when you open the door as well from under the car

The same here, even on very short journeys. Fans are always on when engine it shut down. It is normal.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to what the dealer says though, when the dealer was showing the missus around her rs3 she asked him how to sync the driver and passenger climate temps. He said you cant do that on the new cars anymore. BS.

It's very normal. Turbos are red hot and the oil pumps keep them lubed up and cool then down gradually to extend the life of bearings.

Agree- its what mine does but it did worry me. Question if put it straight in garage and leave it is the warm air recirculating likely to cause problems?

4000 miles in and mine garaged every night, fans on and run for ages other than my wife moaning she can't get to the tumble dryer no probs

I thought nothing of it. Dont most cars do this?

Another question for you. Back in the old days you had to let a turno car cool down before switching the engine off to let the hot oil drain out of the turbo. It seems that modern turbo cars have water cooled turbos and therefore this is less of an issue. So do I need to drive off boost for the end of each journey or sit idling for a few mins or is this not necessary? I don't mean turning it off immediately after a good spanking but some medium level boost.

Normal but it pee's of the neighbours when I get home late. It does run on.
I tend to drive the last five miles of the home journey on low throttle openings to let them cool as much as possible before shutdown.

I was a little shocked the other day after a spirited run that as soon as I backed on the drive and put it into park the car instantly turned itself off. I would definitely have normally let it run on a bit but thought Audi must of tried and tested. Just a bit surprised
