My RS6 search is over

Thanks for all your help over the last month
Through this forum I met a good dealer and we had agreed a spec for a RS6 PE to replace my C63 Estate.
Was going to be mint; Nardo grey, full carbon pack
I loved the C63 but I needed something quicker, I mean bigger, as we have 3 growing boys under 6 currently
Today we found out today that my wife is preganant again
So the RS6 search will be replaced by 7 seater hunt
I console myself that when the new RS4 is out I can get that as the slightly smaller family car
You know things are out of control when you still need a 5 seater estate as the weekend toy !!

SQ7 - that's where my deposit is currently sat. The order book opens in a few weeks, with first deliveries in August.
If the GFV's stack up I'm going for Exclusive Nardo, Black Styling pack, 21" Black PE wheels, BOSE, Parking Pack. Job jobbed.

What else offers seven seats? Cayenne? XC90 does, but I don't know how it stacks up beyond that. Towrag?
Big discounts to be had on outgoing Cayenne.

Yeah - reviews seem very positive
Desperate to have a play on the configurator - knowing my luck it will end up more than an RS6
It will def have 7 seats? I know the X5M is only X5 to not have 7 seat option

List starts at £71k, but apparently UK cars will get a lot over the S-Line as standard including (not confirmed yet, but my dealer has been out in AG to see it etc) Virtual Cockpit, Matrix LED lights, full leather and Adaptive Suspension.
Toerag is tiny inside. Cayenne is tinier. RRS is even tinier. X5 is dated. Disco is a dinosaur. GLS is a untiliraian looking box. XC90 is a looker but the engine choice is a bit <beep>. Beyond that there's nothing unless you want to blow 6figures on a FFRR.
For space the new Q7 is unbeatable. 3 adults can seat across the back in comfort and the boot is utterly cavernous!

If you can handle a little German - it's on the Audi.de configurator for you to play.

Quite pleased to see it hasn't got the RS6 PE wheels at launch.

Thanks - I did have a look at that
Agreed on the wheels; the UK site makes it look immense with the PE wheels
On the German site it could be any old thing.....
I was looking at a RR Sport but they market its as a 5+2. I really need a proper 7 seater, and it seems that its this or XC90
Volvo interior looks nice, but a 2litre engine will make me cry

kmpowell - thanks for that
I have had a play on the UK site with the standard car and got to £15k of options !
So hopefully this one has alot of the kit - dont fancy spending £6k on a leather interior
The thing I liked about the RS6 PE was very little was needed (the carbon pack was just a pure indulgence)
I dont care if this thing listed at £80k and was loaded - its the options that kill you at GFV

At launch the options list will be huge - more will be included as standard as it ages. I just hit €150k on the German site!
Worth also noting, whilst i would generally not have anything good to say about AUK - their product team are particularly brilliant, regularly securing specification on UK cars significantly better and cheaper than in any other market.

Q7 is one of the first Audi's to have options factored in to new variable GFV's. For example, spec 21's on the S-Line and the monthly payment stays the same.
I've been assured that UK cars will have at least £7k of kit that is currently optional on the S-Line, and the PE rims are available in all markets. Alot of the DE press demos are running the PE wheels.

Has been an interesting exercise; RS6 PE looks expensive in Germany vs UK
On the DE site I managed to get €35k of options on the SQ7 (it does start alot cheaper than in UK)
Good news on the GFV front
Your dealer sounds very clued in - do tell me how you get on !

The hybrid T8 XC90 is an interesting proposition

A friend of mine has a hybrid xc90 on order. He seems mightily impressed by it.

The 400bhp engine is quite impressive on paper, but I personally wasn't that enamoured when I drove one. You can feel every single one of its 2400 kilos. It's not rapid or urgent. It's more of a wafter, which for me along with the non-sporty interior whiffed a bit too much of piss & slippers.

A few months ago my dealer sent me these pics which weren't in the public domain. It persuaded me to go for Nardo. It's sitting on the wrong wheels for me, but the rest is how id like it. Nardo with black package....
