Arrived today...

My c7 arrived today, in great condition given its done 58k. Took it straight out for a drive, and WOW. I have driven one before but it was ages ago, and not for long. Sooo much more dynamic than the c6, and feels much less boat like. Also feels considerably faster, although it would do as my c6 was not mapped. Standard exhaust is def too quiet so that will be getting sorted. Overall though, very pleased and look forward to getting to grips with the car over the next few days!

Great to see you've got it at last! Very nice, glad it arrived as described, glad you are happy with it. :beerchug:

Looks like the dealer jacked it up for the journey on the trailer?

What happened to your old one, I didn't see you advertise it?

Yes it's on air, and yes it was 'raised' when it was delivered. I presume to get it on and off the trailer easier.

I sold my c6 to a good friend who lives 5 minutes from me, really glad to see it go to a good home, but even more glad to start c7 ownership!

Haven't had a chance to go through everything yet, but do you think Audi connect is useful enough to bother paying for a monthly sim? Especially as it's pre facelift so only 3G.

What do people find to be the drive select sweet spot for day to day driving? Individual settings?

Im in dynamic full time and just switch between S or D using the gear lever depending on engine temp / road conditions / mood.

You don't need a monthly SIM for connect. If you are unsure just get a £10npay as you go sim to see if you like it. I have a £15 Sim that last up to 3 months with 6gb.

Ok thanks, have just ordered an ee 6gb one.

How does the 'Auto' option work? Does it decide which settings depending on how you're driving?

Also, what determines weather or not the exhaust valves are open or not?

I assume this quesuon follows your last one so you are talking about when in auto mode? If so, why knows! I don't use auto as I like to know what mode the car is in so I know how it is going to respond when I put my foot down etc.

Fair enough Mike!

Perhaps you can enlighten me on anther question. I thought the c7 had Bluetooth music streaming, but it not showing in my sources list? Also the ami cable supplied with the car is showing 'not connected' when I connect it with my tune2air Bluetooth dongle. It worked perfectly in my c6. Any thoughts?

Sorry I don't use any of that toot. I just have a load of hard drives connected under the armrest with all my music on. I don't like compressing my music to send via Bluetooth. However, I'm pretty sure the Bluetooth shows up as an option in my source list and my phone appears there. I don't keep any music on my phone so haven't tried it. Maybe this was a change at facelift? I know there were changes to the mmi for my2016 i.e after facelift so this might have changed then too?

I suspected it may not be an option on pre facelift cars. Any ideas on why AMI is showing not connected? Will the AMI cable show connected or not connected when there is no device connected to it?

Pre-FL has Bluetooth audio - or at least mine does. Just works as you would expect, find BT source "Audi mmi XXXX" connect, do the pin thing and it should appear as a source.

Also Over cable should appear almost immediately if you have the Audi cable. If you have a device connected to the cable.
