London City

Post by MSF21 » Wed Mar 23, 2016 11:19 am

Is London City part of a dealer group, or is it owned by Audi UK?
Just curious - that rent cannot be cheap (!) and am wondering if its allowed to be loss making as it comes under a general marketing budget

Sytner, Audi UK don't have any dealerships.

As above. Most Audi dealerships are part of dealer chains such as Syntner/Stratstone & the like.

In the Northwest, Preston/Blackburn & Carlisle Audi are owned by Thompson Motor Group which are privately owned by Stuart Thompson.

As Doodlebug says, it's owned by S(h)ytner group.

They have quite a high turnover of cars go through it, but from what I've been told, very little actual sales. The place is used to showcase in a very high footfall area, then people generally esquire/buy from a more local dealer e.g. West London Audi.

They currently have an Avus C7 with black styling pack. It does look very good.

Thanks -2 weeks ago they had a Teal blue RS6. Looked really nice. I totally get the need to show cars in a target rich area; was just curious if Sytner benefited from the sales or other groups did !

They also have a workshop / service department not too far away in Victoria. This is where I used to have my car serviced. It was quite convenient to drive it there, walk to the office (about 2 mins away) then pick it up after work. Until they left my sump plug loose and I was dropping oil onto the exhaust.
