Apologies for amateur hour over here...

But could someone post a better picture and arrow specific to the part I should be looking at adjusting?

Can't make out exactly on mine where/what I should be looking at.

Hoping someone could help this oxy moron here.

A is Coolant Pipe
B is Firewall Bulkhead panelling

The horizontal red line is the gap between the coolant pipe and the clip that holds the firewall panelling together

The solution is to force the clip further down (Indicated by red arrow) - This naturally increases the clearance between the coolant pipe and the bulkhead panelling. I just used a flat bladed screwdriver to force the clip further down.

Under hard acceleration the engines moves back and the clip has the potential to puncture a hole in that coolant pipe.

The location as you open your bonnet (hood if you are in the US) is back centre/left of engine bay by the rear bulkhead.

It's at the back of the engine bay / in front of bulkhead.

If you have the bonnet up, as you are looking at the engine it is right at the back wall just a little to the left of the big engine cover. Probably not far off from the spindle for the drivers windscreen wiper.

Open the bonnet and look for this:

Hi, and apologies for the lurking! Does anyone have a pic as described above? being very ignorant of anything more technical than my oil, washers, tyres and the throttle pedal I can't identify the bits in question, the helpful one above has fallen victim to the t**ts at photobucket!

Can someone repost this as the photo has gone and clicking on the photo as some people have said just brings up the same ‘photo has been removed’ message. Thanks

I can still see the original photos. Did you try looking using your phone?

It’s still on page 1 using a phone. But here it is anyway. I’ve just screen shot them.

Thanks but what I ideally need is arrows to what I’m supposed to be looking for as the photos just show pipes and jubilee type clips, im confused if it’s those or something else hencing wanting a diagram on a photo! I know I’m high maintenance! Thanks

In the top photo there are 2 bits of metal attached to what looks like a metal wire running across the photo. Make sure the one on the left isn't touching the coolant hose in front of it.

I just checked mine on my 2017 Performance and found it to be rather close around the 5-6mm. No markings on the hoses which is good news but I’m so glad I read up on this as it definitely looked close enough that it could have rubbed.
:notworthy: Thankyou to the OP
