Popular VCDS & Why ?

Post by Bit_evl » Sun Jan 31, 2016 11:51 am

So the RS6PE is now on order. Build Week 7.

I am looking at some of the comments and it is clear I am going to want to mess around using VCDS. Rear lights on for daylight running. Disable stop-start, damn those fossils.

Any others that people have found interesting ?

Has anyone figured out how to get "Auto Handbrake when you select Park" working on the ZF 8spd G'box? I tried the codes on this forum and on stemei.de but they didn't work for me.

Other things I've changed with VCDS:
Rear DRLs
Key Fob/drivers door switch boot closing
ACC default distance selectable from MMI
Top View camera switch off speed (only up to 20km unfortubately on pre FL)
Alarm chirp on locking
Heated seat auto step-down timing

Lowering is possible if you are on Air- I am waiting until after the warranty expires to try this

I have also changed/enabled various setting on the family Q5/Polo/Skoda Fabia/T5 transporter
RS6 C7 (2014), Daytona Pearl, 21" Titanium, On Air, LEDs, Sports Exhaust, Dynamic Steering, Red Calipers, ACC, Top View, Connect, Tints, Rear Side Airbags, Rear heated seats; MP4S

I see the new PE car gets a drive select button on the steering wheel.

I wonder if there is any way to reprogram the * button in the non PE RS6's to switch between modes. it's a pain in the arse having to go into the car menu in the MMI to switch

The RS3 can be programmed via the mmi.

I had a look through the options last night, and most of it wasn't in the database (probably because I haven't updated my software for like 3 months). The park brake on P was there, but it came up saying "Security access required". Anyone know how to get access?
