Hi All,
I took delivery of a 64 plate ex demo (200 miles on the clock 0_o). It's got most of the options I wanted but not all and I got it now instead of the normal 3 months.
Has anyone debadged themselves? Is it just stuck on or is it pinned through the bodywork?
Thanks
Z
Anyone Debadged themselves?
Re: Anyone Debadged themselves?
All the rear badges are just stuck one. Heat them up with a hairdryer to soften the glue then carefully prise them off or use some fishing line to slice them off.
Re: Anyone Debadged themselves?
The front rs6 badge just clips off. The front rings will leave a ring shaped holder if you remove them though.

Great, thanks for that. I'll give it a go tonight. Eddies thread put the jitters in me and I'd prefer to be as Q-car as possible.
I'll leave the rings on, it's just the RS marks I want to take away (apart from the callipers, not much I can do there).

Saw a nice debadged rs6 at Stamford hill yesterday morning about 9am, looked lovely actually, made me double check as I knew it was an RS, but was it!

I ordered mine de-badged and have since removed the Audi rings on the rear. I like it, just need to decide if I want to go black rings. It seems like that means dropping the bumper.
I don't think it looks great in photos, as it merges with the grille, but think black in real life will look pretty good.

The black rings at the front can still be seen in real life and look so much better IMO than that tacky plastic pretending to be chrome. I think they should make the badges the same colour as the trim, so black if you have black optics and alu with the alu optics. Save the chrome rings for the chrome grilled A6s.
