Voodoo Blue RS6

Ok , so while i have a bit of time i thought i would add this and then post the pictures later (sorry, thats maybe not fair as your wanting to see photos)

About a year and a half ago i took out a new R8 and then a 981 Porsche Cayman S and whilst i loved the R8 the Cayman had the upper hand. It was light , nimble, quick , and pretty much ticked all the boxes for me and even though i loved the R8 i just felt the porsche was the better fit for me in the end. I sold the Cayman back in March last year as id had my fun with it , but more to the point the 2 seats just weren't working for me in the end. The hunt began for something else and i managed to get a RS6 out on the road for a weekend and loved it to bits, great all around car and quick as anything i've driven before. I was in two minds to go with a 991 C4S, but the more i thought about how much day to day things i could get away with owning an RS6 the more i knew which one to chose. Whilst the wait commenced i decided to pick up a B7 RS4 (Imola Yellow) which i always wanted , so i played with that for a while and sold it to a gent down in London who was keen to see the car was well looked after.

I have done a lot of looking at colours soon here and love all of them , but i was looking for something unique. Riviera Blue came to mind , but once i seen a couple people already had them i thought i'd try and go with something no one else has. I've loved Porsche GT3's all my life and the colour that stood out the most to me was the Voodoo Blue and seen as VW/AUDI/Porsche are a group i figured i could spec this colour. I went to the dealer and asked them and they said it was possible so we started the process of ordering the car in Exclusive Voodoo Blue.

Car will come with:

Exclusive Porsche Voodoo Blue Paint option
21" Black Wheels
Red Brake Calipers
Dynamic Pack
Sports Exhaust
Exterior Gloss Black Pack w/ black mirrors
Piano Black Inlays
Black Interior w/ Black Stitching
Heated front and rear seats
Privacy Glass
Rear Airbags

I must admit i'm a little reluctant to put up any photos of the car as I've been told its the 1st RS6 C7 in Voodoo Blue and i'd like to keep it that way, but i guess i can't be greedy and will share my pride and joy with everyone else. Pick the car up Monday , so will post pics next week once i get it !

Cheers
Dallas

It would be interesting to see Nogaro and Voodoo side by side. Although it looks like it is between Voodoo and Sapphire in the Porsche colours.

Me too mate, I'm hoping that not too many people do chose it as a colour , but not much I can say if it looks that good. Like I said , I was looking for something unique so riv blue was my first choice but I thought I'd leave the guys with that colour to themselves.

Honestly can't wait to see the car now, it's been what feels like ages lol

A nerdy fact you may or may not find interesting re Voodoo Blue...

The name was created by Porsche from tradition that originates in South America where people paint their window and door sills blue to ward/warn off evil spirits. The people believe evil spirits won't cross water, so the paint of the window and door sills confuses them and protects their homes.

Hence Porsche created the "Voodoo" name.

Pretty sure you'll find that Voodoo blue is a Toyota colour, launched with FJ Cruiser in the US.

Although they both photograph differently depending on light, the original similar Porsche colour was Arrow Blue. i've never really understood why they don't push it more widely instead...
